The Wall Lake Public Library Board met on Tuesday, June 9th and voted to reopen the library on a phased reopening plan. The library will move to phase 2 on Wednesday, June 10th. If at any time during this process, community infections increase, and the library board deems it necessary to roll back services, we will revert to the level considered necessary. The Wall Lake Public Library will be open to the public by appointment only - limited to 6 people at a time - starting Wednesday, June 10th. Reduced open hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2pm to 5pm and Wednesday from 11am to 4pm. The library will be closed on Saturdays for the rest of the summer. Computer services are available for a 30-minute time limit - due to social distancing - only 3 computers will be available at a time. The staff will wipe down the computers after each use. Curbside/indoor pickup and home delivery is still offered. There will be no public meetings or programs scheduled at this time. Toys, puzzles and games are not available at this time. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The library staff will continue to quarantine the books returned for 3-5 days. Copying and faxing will be allowed - please have correct change.
There will be hand sanitizer at the door - the public is asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering the library. Please stay home if you are sick or have symptoms. Please call the library at 664-2983 to schedule an appointment or with any questions.
